Your Ninja just completed an exciting week of coding and creativity in Minecraft®: Agent Robot!
Throughout the week, they explored the fundamentals of computer science by coding Agent—their in-game robot—to complete exciting missions. Using block-based coding tools, they tackled real-world logic through Minecraft challenges that involved automation, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork. From writing their first commands to building complex functions, your Ninja gained valuable STEM skills while having tons of fun!
Throughout the camp, Ninjas explored coding logic, creative problem-solving, and hands-on programming in Minecraft: Education Edition. Here’s a recap of the concepts and projects covered:
Campers learned how to give Agent step-by-step instructions to move and build, then used events to make Minecraft react to commands—like summoning a rainstorm of chickens!
Ninjas explored how variables can change outcomes in code, applying them to control movement and spawn creatures. They built pixel portraits and used variables to construct custom houses.
Campers learned how to use loops to repeat actions and nested loops to automate farming. They even teamed up for a real-world LEGO build challenge based on communication and logic!
Campers tackled if/then coding by guiding Agent through a labyrinth and using conditionals to chop trees, gather resources, and trigger actions based on the world around them.
Ninjas discovered how to simplify complex tasks by creating reusable functions, combining commands to spawn mobs and effects. They wrapped up the week with a final celebration and shared their creative projects with the class!
